2002 Poetry

Love Birds

How beautiful the love birds
sing,
Their song so softly sung,
And everything held
under wing,
Things brought and ought to
have brung.

And how they're found two
as one,
Each held in sweet embrace,
With all trust unbound and
just begun,
A simple and trying place.

The blowing winds that
blows the breeze,
And each one thoughtfully
together,
Both in rest and full of ease,
If only this moment forever.

One Last Kiss

My love, you're leaving so soon,
Can't you at least wait 'til noon,
I forever wait for you,
I'd be the one to die for you,
Stay here or my heart will break,
Please, do not leave for "our" sake.

Don't let go of me,
Don't let this be the last time I see,
Could you please forgive?
A life without you I cannot live,
Please, don't break my heart,
I can not stand us being apart.

My dreams will end up shattered,
Will end up mad-hattered,
"...better to have loved and lost,"
This is a saying that should be in the frost.
"...than to never have loved at all,"
Who exactly had had the gall,
"You" will be the one I miss,
If you have to leave, then please give me one last kiss.

Christian Love

Patience has its own reward,
if you keep it in your heart,
and less is the chance ventured,
that you will fall apart.
Keep your calm,
and you will see,
palm to palm,
is how good will be.
Pray that your light will be found,
that you'll find your silver lining,
pray that joy will come in bound,
and that the stars will keep on shining.

Ungrateful

Ungrateful,
That is not a word for me,
Unfaithful,
Is not what I tend to be.
It's so hard when,
nothing's to be grateful about,
I can't win,
when my life is full of doubt.
Even though,
life's filled with promises,
maybe so,
truth and love I dismiss.

Flowing

How beautiful the clouds are,
are thick and plump, and sweet by far.
Their ripples rippling so,
their waves a tripling flow.
So wonderful, it seems,
they appear as if out of dreams.
And out the rain begins to fall,
with the sparkling sun shining on it all.
There they are to the right,
but up above there is no light.
Just darkness as one waits for rain again,
always looking north to heal the pain.
